Add Vocals · THE CREATIVE GUIDE

Hear where a lyric could lead your beat

A beat can suggest a mood without telling a story. The add-vocals workflow brings your instrumental reference, words and style direction into a new song interpretation when enabled. Use it to explore a hook or discuss a demo with a collaborator. Listen to the whole result: adding a voice can also change the backing you started with. Check the availability message above before planning a task.

PLAN THE VOCAL

Find the place where a voice should lead

Play the busiest part of your instrumental and speak the lyric over it. If every gap already has a lead melody, simplify the words or ask for a more restrained arrangement. Preparing the brief this way does not guarantee that the result will preserve your backing unchanged.

BRING YOUR MATERIAL

Keep the backing and lyric decisions distinct

Upload the permitted audio and complete the lyric, title and style fields shown for this operation. A description of the voice is musical direction, not a guarantee about a specific performer. Keep an untouched copy of the instrumental.

CHECK THE WHOLE TRACK

Review backing changes, not just the singer

Play the new track alongside the reference. Check whether the rhythm, instrumentation or section lengths changed while vocals were added. Do not assume the original backing survives bit-for-bit or that you will receive a separately editable vocal stem.

BEFORE YOU START

Add Vocals: frequently asked questions

Does this return a dry vocal stem?

This operation creates a vocal song result. Do not expect a separately recorded dry vocal unless the actual output explicitly provides it.

Can I keep the original beat exactly?

The generated interpretation may change the backing. Use an audio editor and separate recorded stems when exact preservation is required.

Can I choose a personal voice here?

Personal voice selection is not supported in this add-vocals workflow. When enabled, a ready personal profile is used in the music generator’s My Lyrics mode through its dedicated voice control.
